Meeting Minutes

November 14, 2023

Meeting called to order at 6:00 pm by Kristin Depew

Prayer

Pledge

Members of our group participated in the Scots-Irish Festival and Halloween. Registered people to vote and handed out pens. Candy donated by Jeff DePew was also handed out.

We sold t-shirts at the Lincoln-Reagan dinner.

Nov. 25 is Small Business Saturday and Merriment on Main St. Ornaments will be assembled at the GOP Women’s table. We could use some volunteers to help glue ornaments.

We will have a forum at the Jan. meeting for Republican candidates. It will not be a debate.

Dec. meeting on Dec 14th will be a social event in lieu of a formal meeting.

Discussions:

Reaching out to new transplants and young people in the high school.

QR code for Go Vote Tn app

A realtor packet to hand out to new residents.

Will try to book Marsha Blackburn for a late winter/early spring meeting

Will invite Harshbarger & Burchett for a future meeting

A committee to create by-laws will include officers and past chair; Kristin DePew, Janice Carey, Lisa Jansson, Lavigne Kirkpatrick, Michelle Light and Betty Fain. Ashlin Depew will serve as alternate. We hope to have by-laws ready for the Jan. 2024 meeting and vote on them at the Feb meeting.

Concerns were raised about minutes and treasurer reports being posted on the public website. Solutions suggested – Have a members-only sign in set up for the website or send reports to members via email.

Meeting was adjourned at 6:56 pm
